Space Hotel to Launch in 2012, Cost $4.48-Million for 3-Night Stay

Well this could be an excellent idea. Actually it is, although they already have 43 guests that reserved a suite for the inauguration in the year of 2012 it seems quite dangerous. Imagine if the first flight to the hotel is not successful that would make the whole investment be lost! They say one can see 15 sunrises a day and rotate around the earth every 80 minutes. It seem even more awesome than the Villa in the Cesar's Palace. Hmm the first day would be worth 4.48 million, the second would be ok but in the third day inside a small place in the middle of the space how will the guest's be entertained? Yes, Yes it would be a nice place for a honey moon though I only thought of that right now. The Galactic Suite Resort seems suitable though they will need a very intrusting technology so that the clients get there safely.

Top 10 Strangest Google Maps, Street View Sightings

BEFORE READING TAKE NOTICE THAT THE PICTURES AND TEXT DON'T MATCH! 1 IS THE FIRST AND 10 IS THE LAST... WELL NEVER MIND

When people told me that Google maps was realistic I used to doubt this statements, though after these pictures there is no way to even think otherwise when told that Google maps is realistic, sit back and enjoy.

10. Well many beers, away from home and late at night, why not sleep on the grass it seems very comfortable just look out for Google’s car next time!

9. It seems that Google is everywhere! They got to the fire before the police department, o well their salary must be higher so its explained.

8. Still don’t believe me, so go to your Google earth and try these coordinates use these coordinates: 16 54'09.12"N 99 58'16.07"W.

7.Most crop circles look like random shapes, this logo is recognizable to nearly all internet users: Firefox. It may have been just a weekend project for bored geeks, but it's a conversation piece that will be remembered for much longer.

6. Musicians looking to market themselves should look no further than Google Maps. More specifically, be on the lookout for the Street View car, like the one-man, Canada-based Fear Salesman band.

5. When trying to impress the Google employees driving a Street View car, be sure to watch where you're going, otherwise your fall may end up for the world to see. Yes, from beginning to end.

4. No, the audition for Spider-Man 4 doesn't involve trying to break and enter a home in plain clothes. On the bright side, this person will have something for both the cops and potential casting directors to see.

3. This is the way some people may react when they realize they forgot their keys inside the car, or another point of view is that this lady is a professional criminal.

2. Who said Narnia doesn’t exist?

1. It's probably not the smartest idea to be riding your own bike while stealing another simultaneously, as the "imaginary friend" joke can only go so far, especially with law enforcement officials.

JUST DON'T FORGUET, YOU COULD BE THE NEXT VICTIM!

Xbox 180 (fake)

Xbox 360 is one of the best consoles so far in the world of video games but however, there has not been a proper handheld console for the fans of Xbox. At first when I read about the hand held Xbox I thought it would be released in a short time, however (sorry to take your hopes away) the hand held is only a concept. Zenin Amit, a forum user designed what he saw as the perfect Xbox hand held.

This consol was named Xbox 180. This was explained by the forum designer using the following words; “the meaning behind the '180' is that it is half the power of a 360 console and the screen slides in a 180 angle.” It looks really good though I don’t think Microsoft even thought about a hand held yet, therefore for the Xbox fans this will still take a long time. I was very confused because at first I thought this was a Microsoft release though later on by reading many articles figured that it is only an internet user’s dream. Let’s just hope that Microsoft already had this idea and did not release any information yet.

6 Unusual Grenade-Inspired Gadgets

As I was thinking on the title for this post what came to my mind was 6 Ways to get stupidly killed while having fun. Though some of these gadgets would probably not get out of one's house.
So here they come...

1. Computer Mouse

I would say that this would definitely not be the Best mouse to take to college. It would be funny but you know how people are in the USA… In brazil maybe someone would try to buy it thinking that it is actually a grenade so that wouldn’t be a good idea also. Well, wait for the next one…

2. USB Drive

Do you have your USB drive?
Sure!
Woooww are you crazy man I thought I was your friend! I have a family!
Chill it’s only my new grenade pen drive!

I hope you don’t have this conversation with a cop… it’s ending might not be so good.

3. Joystick

I still don’t see how this one works… Hmm now I get it it’s a grenade, no. If someone could please enlighten me I would be very grateful.

4. Lamp

Wow... This is just sick…
No further comments…

5. MP3 Player

World War II
- Throw a grenade!!
- I’ll get one from you…
…. Why didn’t it blow up?
- That was my mp3 you *******

(No I won’t mention the case where a person wants to hear music in the subway.. that would not be a good idea at all)

6. Coin Bank

I need money!
- I’m going to play a prank with my little brother… (This only works if you paint the coin bank so it’s similar to a real grenade.)
Fire in the hole!
- AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaa
-hauhauahuahuhau… now I got my money and some laughter out of it.

Well if I were you I would think twice before buying any of these gadgets, though the mouse seems really tempting…. I don't even know actually if it is legal to have any of these!!

Spotify's CEO thinks big

Well first of all what is Spotify? Well don't feel ignorant if you don't know, after all it is a new product and I didn’t know about it either. Spotify is a freemium and a premium music download service. The question that comes to people’s minds is how can a legal company be a freemium music download service. Well this is possible for two reasons, the first one is due to the sponsors who are present in the freemium software, and the second and most important is that they pay for the songs rights. The money made by the premium server, (which logically has a lot more applications and downloads available) and the money made through sponsors allow them to pay for these rights.
The main idea behind Spotfy, which was reveal by the CEO is that in a short time they will achieve a number over a trillion users the music industries will gain a lot of money. This is in many ways, the first is that directly some of the Spotify's clients will be paying to download songs and this money will go to the artists. The indirect way is that people will go to concerts, and even be motivated to buy the CD of an artist which they enjoyed a song or two so that they can get to know the other songs better.
As quoted from the original speech; "If we can go to trillions, just think about the easy math," he told the crowd. "What about 1% of those converting in to paid subscription, or becomes a paid download, or decides to buy a concert ticket? That's how we grow the music industry to a $40bn or $50bn industry, by getting it to work on people's favorite devices.
My point of view was always the same as Spotify's CEO, by allowing people to download music people will be instigated to seek for CDs, and also attend events which will generate the songs author benefit.

Halo Prank

Well every week and the same old technology update... This time it is different I just will not make a new post and there we go!
Thank you for reading!

Just kidding ^^
Well as this is not a common post it will be about an event that happened to celebrate the release of the new XBOX 360 game HALO3.
This was not a normal event as you may know MIT students are known for their pranks (called Hacks by the MIT students) on their campus and other college campuses. Well this time the John P. Harvard statue in Harvard Yard won a Spartan helmet (with "Master Chief in Training" written on the back) and an assault rifle. Very creative, after all they are doing MIT for a reason.
Well sometime you may think that being in a party with these students may seem very frustrating although when it comes to pranks and teaching they really are the best.

To check some other of the MIT "hacks" go to the following address: http://hacks.mit.edu/

Deciphering Memory Cards

Well looking at the wall of a technology shop where there are many memory cards who never wandered which one to buy? Well this article will hopefully help most of the people whom have faced this problem. Well I faced it quite a few times and in one of these cases ended up with the wrong memory card, well it happens.
The first memory card that I will look at is the secure digital high capacity card (SDHC), which is one of the most common card one may find. It is the best card for a point and shoot camera and has the capability to store thousands of pictures.
The second card is the Olympus SD. This card id special for one main reason, it is only used in Olympus cameras. So if you have a quite new Olympus this it the card which you will be looking for.
Next in line comes the Memory stick pro duo, which is another special card. This is because it is the format for Sony cameras. Mainly because Sony likes to have their own format and this was what fitted the best for them.
There is also the Extreme IV compact Flash, which is a memory card that fits best the professional and semi-professional cameras. So this is a memory card that fits best the higher end cameras.
Finally there is the Video HD card, which is pretty similar to the Extreme III SDHC card. The main difference is that the Video HD card is used mainly for the small video cameras due to the fast speed, while the Extreme III SDHC card is used for basic photo cameras.
A tip that always worked with me was to take the memory card already present in your camera and take it with you. This will never fail.

MAPTOR

Did you ever feel lost in the middle of a big city and even though you have a map you are having a hard time reading it? Well with the new concept MAPTOR the map world will never be the same. The MAPTOR is a concept map designed by Jin-Sun Park and Seon-keun Park. As the name says it is a map + projector which is the size of a small flashlight, which may be used as a keychain. There is no more need of turning on your Smartphone or even opening a huge map, with just a click a map will be projected in any surface. There is only one problem, it is a concept therefore it is still not sold to the public. There is just one doubt that lies within me, how will this MAPTOR really work? The basics can be seen in the video that follows although a lot of mystery still lies within this concept. Although I may say that I am certainly going to be one of the first ones to purchase this amazing technological apparatus.

HP DreamScreen

HP has launched a new platform in the digital display space. I hesitate to call the DreamScreen just a digital picture frame, although it does do that. It also has a Pandora application, plays video, streams content from a networked computer, connects to thousands of Internet radio stations, interfaces with Snapfish and Facebook and has both wired and wireless Internet connections. So it’s more than a frame; it truly is a new platform. Although it still will not replace a computer it is an advance in technology which will soon be present in many homes. Instead of having a simple picture frame or even a digital picture frame which will only show the pictures you can know have a frame which will allow you to do a series of things. As it has internet connection it is a perfect place to check for the movies while watching TV and even updating your status in face book after an intrusting fact. The only real problem is that this technology is going to arrive in Brazil with a very high price as every imported electronic device; therefore in Brazil it will still be rare. I would not buy one of these because I’m not into pictures and I have a cell phone which has basically the same features as the Dream Screen and is always with me.

HP DreamScreen Specs
• DreamScreen 100 – 10.2″ Display – 800×480 pixel resolution
• DreamScreen 130 – 13.3″ Display – 1024×800 pixel resolution
• 2GB internal memory (1.5GB available)
• Contrast 350:1
• Stereo Speakers
• Headphone out jack
• USB Host and USB mini
• Media cards supported – CF, MS, MMC, SD, xD
• Video formats – AVI, MPG, MP4
• Photo formats – BMP, JPEG, PNG
• Audio formats – MP3, PCM, WMA, AAC
• Touch screen button
• Remote control
• Ethernet – WiFi

The HP DreamScreen comes in two versions, the DreamScreen 100 (MSRP $249) and the DreamScreen 130 (MSRP $299). The 100 features a 10.2″ display with 800×480 pixel resolution. The 130 has a 1280×800 resolution and 13.3″ display. Otherwise the units are identical.

New IPOD NANO

The new IPOD NANO was introduced to the public September 10 this year. There were some surprises that pleased the public, although some predictions that also pleased the public were proven wrong. The bad news was that the new IPOD is not touch screen (this is more or less obvious because Apple has an IPOD called IPOD TOUCH therefore they would not want to create a product that would compete with their own product.)
The most important feature that will now be present in the IPOD NANO is the integrated video camera. (This will make the lives of many people easier because they will be able to capture moments with the IPOD when they do not have a camera in hand. Although for other camera companies this might not be so good news.) The second feature that was announced was the integrated speakers. The screen also had a small upgrade and now has 2.2-inches. Other small features where also added as the pedometer, FM Radio (although it was said that the FM Radio would not work with the integrated speakers.), genius mixes and video quality is now better.
Most of the new features of the IPOD NANO turn this product more appealing to the consumer although if I were to buy a new IPOD I would buy the IPONE or the IPOD TOUCH which have even more features than the new IPOD NANO, although the prices are significantly different.

OLEDs

What are the OLEDs? Well take a look at your cell phone’s screen. Most likely it is made of OLEDs. This is organic light-emitting diodes, which create long-lasting, highly efficient illumination in a wide range of colors, just like their inorganic LED cousins. The main difference is that OLEDs don't provide points of light like standard incandescent bulbs, OLEDs create uniform, diffuse light across ultrathin sheets of material that eventually can even be made to be flexible. Well this may seem a small difference, although when looking at a larger scale it is not.
OLED is not a usual form of light, it is becoming a form of art and decoration. Artists have been using these OLDEs to create sculptures and other forms of art. However not only artists are using this new technology but designers are beginning to use the OLEDs to decorate t-shits, houses and even cars.
The most intrusting fact about this new technology is that it is being used in a series of different areas around the world.

Sony Drops Price of PlayStation 3 by $100

As this is a technology blog we might start by posting very intrusting news! Sony dropped the PS3 price by 100 dollars that is great. Well actually it is not because I just bought a PlayStation 3 two weeks ago and paid the old price. I might just continue as it is good news (as it is for many people).

The reason for this is because Sony announced the new version of the PlayStaion 3. It is the slim version, following the same pattern of the PlayStaion 2.
